Gnomeo is the hero in a delightful computer-animated film called Gnomeo & Juliet. It is based on William Shakespeare's play, Romeo and Juliet.
The story is about gnomes who reside in neighboring gardens owned by elderly people who despise one another. The Montague garden is filled with blue garden gnomes and the Capulet garden houses red garden gnomes. Representing the blue garden is Gnomeo and Juliet is the daughter of the red gnomes leader, Lord Redbrick.
Unlike the real story, the film ends happily with Gnomeo and Juliet getting married on a purple lawnmower, which symbolizes a truce between the blue gnomes and the red gnomes.
