The original "Flying Pig" was my race car, the #13 ITA BMW 2002tii, shown below; you can barely see one of the flying pig decals on the quarter-panel. Its name stemmed from a loud complaint that "This car is a pig to work on!" But when she was running well, she could really fly!! I raced it with the SCCA in the northeastern US in the 1990s before relocating to Texas & finding other hobbies that didn't eat all of my time and $. Last I knew, it was racing in Canada, repainted so a guy could drive it without threatening his masculinity.

Nowadays, I drive a bright yellow Mini Cooper convertible (notice how the clever designer worked the Mini logo into the pathtag?!), and "Pigs Fly!" is just my way of saying anything is possible if you want it badly enough. So go grab your dreams: Fly, pig!
