A note from Kaz:
I have a hidden disability which can sometimes cause me to get very poorly, very quickly, and often with little or no warning, as a result I have had three life threatening crises in the last twelve months, which have resulted in lengthy hospitalisations.

We noticed that Caesar aka GeoDog (from Dorsetgal & GeoDog) would often pay me more attention, become very clingy and lick my hands excessively on days when I went on to become ill. We wondered if he was able to detect in some way that I was getting sick, before I noticed I was becoming ill myself.

I spoke to the organisation that trained him and asked what they thought, and if they could possibly train another dog for me. They referred me to a more specialist organisation, Cancer and Bio Detection Dogs. (www.cancerdogs.org.uk)

I was interviewed, my medics consulted and finally approved for a dog from them. I am now on the waiting list! The organisation has several dogs in training and it is hoped that one of them will become my medical alert dog.

I often cache with Dorsetgal & GeoDog and Red Squirrel UK. They both have pathtag collections and have had their own tags made, and I decided to try and make a pathtag to sell in aid of Cancer & Bio Detection Dogs.

It is not a condition of my getting the dog that I pay for it, but I would dearly love to contribute so others can also benefit from this great organisation.

So, if you would like one of my tags for your collection, I'd be happy to send you one for a small donation for Cancer & Bio Detection Dogs.

As a guide, we would like to suggest:

$5 ( approx. £3.50 or €3.50) with $2.50 postage (as we are in the UK) per tag.

We can mail up to three tags for the same postage.
