We have hiked many fantastic tracks in different countries. This tag is number four in our road-sign set to tribute just a few of the memorable walks we have enjoyed in Australia.
CRADLE MOUNTAINin Tasmania. We walked all the way to the summit where it had snowed overnight. So picturesque walking around and above Dove Lake. Dove Lake lies in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park at the base of Cradle Mountain.
VALLEY OF THE WINDSin KATA TJUTA formerly known as the 'Olgas' in Uluru national park central Australia. We walked on a very hot day and felt welcomed by the shady rocky outcrops and the cool winds blowing through the huge rock formations. This walk is almost always an addition to the more popular and less demanding walk around Uluru, formerly known as ‘Ayers Rock’.
THE PINNACLES are limestone formations contained within Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes, Western Australia. These unusual rocks sculptures cover a large area of sandy hills and dunes. Although you can drive through the area we recommend walking amongst these natural monuments.
