In addition to geocaching, Rick and Holly (aka - TeamPatchwork) are also amateur (HAM) radio operators. No wonder Rick likes bacon so much! This tag celebrates the hobby and includes our call signs. Rick is N9GSU and Holly is KC9SPT.
The term "CQ" is the phonetic for SEEK YOU and in the world of amateur radio simply means: I'm looking for someone to talk to. We thought it was the perfect way to marry the hobbies by setting our vanity code on this pathtag as CQCACHE (SEEK YOU CACHE!)
We are especially interested in trading with other geocachers who are hams and have pathtags commemorating amateur radio but we are open to trading with anyone who appreciates our tag. We'll be taking these with us to events as well.
